When should a family begin working with BCC?

Our programs can be started any time after finishing 9th grade. We find that starting no later than mid-way through 11th grade results in a significantly less stressful application period. Because we take a limited number of students for each application cycle, we may not have space available for students who wish to start after the middle of their junior year. Because we believe high school should be the primary focus for younger students, we work with 9th graders on an hourly-basis only.

I don't live near BCC headquarters, can I still use your services?

Does BCC only work with students who are applying to highly selective institutions?

Absolutely not. We believe every student has the opportunity to pursue higher education. In fact, we encourage all students to attend college because the added knowledge will only be an added value to their future careers. Our goal is to help the student identify the right college fit.

Can you provide the names and contact information for families that you have worked with so I can talk with them about working with you?

Unfortunately we can't accommodate this request. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us and our families and we don't release identifying information about our families unless expressly granted. Of course, you can expect the same level of confidentiality as a BCC family. We understand that you may want to hear from former families first-hand and we have provided student and parent testimonials on our website for this purpose. We are proud to say that over 80% of our families come from referrals from current or previous families.

Can we guarantee acceptance to a particular college?

Absolutely not. There is no guarantee in the admissions process because acceptances are unpredictable. However, we are confident that our expertise will showcase the student’s best profile and thus, optimizing their chances in getting accepted to colleges that are a realistic match to their profile. Any consultant who promises an admission to a specific college should not be trusted. Our consultants strictly adhere to the principles set forth in the Principles of Good Practice as determined by the IECA.

How do I get started with BCC?

Contact our office via our form on our Contact Us page or email to set up a 30-minute complimentary initial consultation. The purpose of the consultation is an initial meet and greet with an opportunity for both the family and consultant to get to know each other. We'll also provide further details regarding our comprehensive package in addition to pricing.

How much do your services cost?

To learn more about our services and fee options, please fill out our contact form on the Contact Us page.

Do you meet with both students and parents?

After the initial consultation, we generally just meet with the student, but we are in constant contact with parents. After every meeting with a student, we email the parents with a summary of what we discussed and what the student has been asked to complete before our next meeting. We value parents’ input throughout the process, and when we begin working with a student, we ask the parents to complete a questionnaire that provides useful information about their child. We are happy to meet separately with parents if there is anything they wish to discuss without their child present. Finally, parents are always welcome to call or email us with questions/concerns.
